Get in!
Ten (count them, TEN) weeks after I hit my five and a half stone loss, today, I finally received this.
Ten bloody weeks it has taken me to lose half a stone? Unfortunately our consultant is away on holiday, but what made it really nice was that the girl she got to stand in for her, Sarah, was the girl who we started with back in April 2019. She said that we both looked amazing, she remembered us starting with her, she had been emergency cover that morning and she was so harassed. She has run our group a few times while we were waiting on a permanent consultant, and we have been to her group in Llanfair when we have missed our Monday group a couple of times.
So, I lost a pound and Mr G, well, he lost four and a half pounds (not a clue how). So he now only needs half a pound for six stone! He also went under his interim target of 14 stone, is now in a completely new stone bracket, and he has reset his target to 13 stone 7 lb. It's going to be trial and error, because he's on new territory here, he hasn't been this size since he was a teenager. Due to his age he doesn't want to go too skinny, or he'll end up looking gaunt.
Tyres and Testicles update; we are now the proud owners of a Ford Focus. The engine had gone on our old car, and due to its age, it was too risky buying a reconditioned engine. We spent thousands on our last Previa and to no avail. The children are getting older, and rarely come anywhere with us any more. Cheaper tax, insurance, does much more miles to the gallon. It'll pay for itself (she says).
I went for a bra fitting to Marks and Spencer, and I came away with three new bras. I am now a normal off the peg size again, for the first time in ages.
Meal planning Monday turned out as follows...
Monday: Pepsi Max chicken (Pinch of Nom Book 1) with boiled rice
Tuesday: Coq au Vin (Pinch of Nom Book 2) with Marmite Roasties, carrots, corn (me) mushy peas (Mr G)
Wednesday: Slimming Eats Coronation Chicken, jacket potato and salad
Thursday: Cheats Lasagne (Two Chubby Cubs Cookbook) with cheesy garlic bread
Friday: Bacon chops, fried egg, baked beans, new potatoes, mushrooms
Saturday: Chinese Chicken Curry with egg fried rice
Sunday: Chicken salad (Mr G) and tuna and sweetcorn mayo salad (Me)
Not very inspiring or interesting this week, Mr G is on a five day work week and how he needs to eat while on shift is very different to how he can eat while off. There are no cooking/reheating facilities in his office so he needs a full belly before he goes into work. Obviously he can't be grabbing pastry or sandwiches to tuck in to either, so navigating the meal plan is vastly different when he's off to when he's in.
So, while boring, the main thing is that all these meals should help him get his six stone certificate next week. I'm going to have a gander through my books and starred recipes and try and plan ahead for next week too. He won't be off now until Sunday, so the more prepared I can be while shopping tomorrow, the better. Although, that's if there's anything left in the shops, with all this Coronavirus hysteria! Hopefully the supermarkets have managed to restock adequately and people have calmed their tits a little by now.
